If you're in the Chicago area, the Wally World in Palatine has one each of the Small Hogwarts & Hagrid's Hut ($30ish), and three Black Pearls ($69).

I use to work for walmart, not doing anything price-related, but these new lower prices are more of a rollback type discount, which is why they are popping up at numerous locations. The stores that haven't dropped yet most likely means that the dept. mgr has not pulled the price changes yet. They would have to get on the pricing gun, initiate the price changes that home office has sent to all the stores, and a strip of new tags prints. Now in the system the price has officially changed, and many employees just put off putting the new labels on the shelf. Any further reductions would be at the store level, usually depending on how much of an item they have in stock. A store with 20 Mills may do another price change (clearance) at a later date, but probably not one that has 2. And each store has an overall "clearance budget" depending on their overall sales, so a high-volume store is able to take off more $ on clearance. This is why the quiet stores have clearance stuff from 6 months ago still sitting there with the same price...

Curse my very active Walmart. They're always sold out of LEGO.

Wal Mart in Orange City Fl got 3 QAR 4195, a few each of WCB 4194, Hogwarts 4867, other smaller sets. Also got a few things from Wal Mart on Kirkman in Orlando. Great prices, 30% off or better!

Just picked up an 'Ultimate Build Mater' for 50% off at the Walmart at Rte. 106 and Hempstead Tpke. in East Meadow. They didn't have much else, but one Heroica game for 30% off, and 'Frog Rush' for $10. They also had a bunch of Transformers Kre-O sets for roughly 30% off and one Optimus Prime for half price at $30. I was fairly tempted, but the top of was torn open, which probably means it was missing pieces, most likely the 'Kreon' figures.

Another Chicago-area report: Round Lake Beach had pretty much all of the HP & PoC sets mentioned above at 30%+ off. One exception: they had quite a few Black Pearls at full price.

Greetings! Anyone in the Pacific Northwest having any luck?

Local WalMarts have all sorts of the mentioned sets by others (Star Wars, HP, Cars2, etc) - and all are full retail price around SW-WA - so am I missing the magic 'one' that has discounts? (although I finally can no longer find Luke's Landspeeder! Have no clue where they finally put those, but up until recently, even planogram had them on it.)

You can usually sense which stores have high sales by how busy they are overall, but if you really wanted to find out for sure, ask any dept. mgr. which stores have the highest sales (or just say busiest), since the employees get a weekly update on sales of stores in their area- each store tries to outsell the others. And only the managers will actually pay attention to these numbers. Regular employees don't care. LOL

I picked up Kre-O Ratchet for $9 at my local Walmart the other day and bought Optimus($30) and Starscream($15 Toysrus special) way back. They have been on clearance for some time. I've built Starscream and Ratchet thus far and I was surprised. They are pretty cool in vehicle form. It's what got me back into Lego and why I'm checking the forum deals on any Lego Star Wars clearances. I want to stick with Classic Trilogy sets but I had to get Anakin's Jedi Interceptor. I didn't get it on sale but it's hard to find and a cheaper alternative than the X-Wing right now. Waiting on that Falcon for clearance!

A couple hours ago I found two Black Pearls for $70 (30 off) at the Walmart in San Jose on Monterey. Front box looked beat up - probably a pillaged return. Didn't look closely at the second box.

Only other deal was a couple bucks off a hero factory set named black or something like that. Didn't check out the games though. Didn't see a dedicated clearance area like some stores have.

Yeap, further clearance is completely on a store by store basis. I saw one store with 10 clone turbo tanks for $80, I came back a week later and saw one last one for $50.

I was travelling down South a bit and saw some good stuff in the Super Wal Mart about 30 minutes west of Charlotte, NC. I had no time or space to pick up anything but there were some great deals. And there were tons of this left, at least 5 of each item.

Freeing Doby for $5.00
Hagrid's Hut for $30.00
Night Bus for $25.00
Isla de Muerta for $13.00
Black Pearl for $69.00

There was likely more, I didn't even check the entire clearance section. This Wal Mart was huge!

Woo Hoo, found 5 White Cap Bay sets for $30 each today while I was in Memphis. Also picked up a Hagrid's Hut for $30 also.

Just went to my closest local Wal-Mart and for giggles strolled down the Lego isle. They had 6 boxes of series 5 minifgures for $1.50 each - no one had sorted through them. There was no price tag on the shelf - so you have to scan the barcode to find out.

This is the second store in Jacksonville, FL I have found them at over the past few weeks.

Series 7 was on the shelf as well - $2.97 and series 6 in the clearance section for $2.97. The series 5 just seemed so out of place on the regular shelf.

Has anyone seen a Whitecap Bay, London Escape, Black Pearl or QAR for sale in New Jersey? I am looking to pick one up but have yet to find one (aside from as mentioned above, when I had no time or space!)...
