You would think, but it apparently wasn't as profitable as they were hoping. The "Uruk-Hai Army" wall makes it look like they are leaning towards it again, though.lego the hutt wrote:but multipe sets, 3, 4, 5, 8 sets that join together. That would be awesome, and a cash cow for LEGO imho.

Re: 9526 Palpatine's Arrest?
I am surprised to see an extra set available at this summer. The idea of rolling out this set was good; however, most of the minifigures(somewhat similar) could be found from other sets.
I wonder what's the fate for Saesee Tiin’s Starfighter 9498 going to be. There will be 3 sets carrying Saesee Tiin minifigures at the shelf at the same time.

I'm under the impression that all of the figures are exclusive. At least that's what it seems to me...that's also what was mentioned on the brickshow recently. Sure they are similar, I think all of the figs have been made in different versions before.legohunter wrote:I am surprised to see an extra set available at this summer. As far as the seasee tin fig you mention I notice right off the different color hands and lack of a cape...though the minor printing details are hard to distinguish without closer examination.
On a side note, as an afol, I tend to shy away from the clone wars sets and other sets not from the movies. For example, I did beta test star wars the old republic online for 6 months prior to release...the main class I played was the sith inquisitor who flies the Fury Class Interceptor but I am not really interested in that set. I feel the same way about the seasee tinn starfighter. I have to limit what sets I purchase. I'm all about the movie sets..the original trilogy most of all, and the lotr sets lately.
I know there are others that feel the same way bout the clone wars sets. I'd take this sets figs over the clone wars version every time.

I hear that. I buy usually only the movie sets, but at the right price I've been buying clone war sets! Thank you Kmart!lego the hutt wrote:I'm under the impression that all of the figures are exclusive. At least that's what it seems to me...that's also what was mentioned on the brickshow recently. Looking at the box art, it seems that of the six, five of the mini figures are new in some way. The only one that doesn't have the "NEW" tag next to it is Kit Fisto.

I was trying to "only" collect movie version sets at the beginning, but it wasn't realistic. Before this licensed was announced to extend for another 10 yrs, I had no clue how long the licensed would last. I possibly missed out many minifigures if I held off with clone wars set.lego the hutt wrote:

7752 Count Dooku's Solar Sailer set was a good example. This sets brought me Count Dooku, Magna Guard, and Pilot Droid. If I didn't get this "clone wars" set, I would have to pay over $18 for a new "YELLOW" head Dooku from feebay or bricklink. Plus, I might never collect any Magna Guard. Even license was renewed, nobody knows if this Magna Guard would appear at any future "movie" version set.
Another example, Mace Windu was hard to find from "movie" version. The clone wars set helped me to collect him. I admitted that his face was ugly at clone wars set, but it was better than missing him from my collection.
Being said that, I would add this set in my shopping list.

I agree. I wouldn't buy this set unless it was marked waaaaaaay down. But it's about time this set came out.Max Power wrote:Looks too expensive

I don't think there's an official price on this set yet, but when I Google-d "lego palpatine's arrest US price," there's a link to an official lego page that redirects you to the Star Wars Creations page. Anyway in the description (on the Google search page) it says:
"Jun 13, 2012 – Item number: 9526. Pieces: 645. Minifigures: Palpatine, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu,, Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin, Agen Kolar Price: USA: $69.99"
Maybe this set will be $70 instead of $90/$100 after all.

Re: 9526 Palpatine's Arrest?
Has it been confirmed that this is a TRU exclusive?...and by that I mean the cheapest you can get it is at the lego store?ncbarrett wrote:MSRP 89.99 - now shipping

Doing a quick search came up with it not being available on amazon.

Re: 9526 Palpatine's Arrest?
I don't think that is necessarily true. TRU has had exclusive sets in the past and because they didn't sell very well or for their own reasons discounted them. Case in point the current incarnation of the Hoth Echo Base went on sale for below MSRP.lego the hutt wrote:Has it been confirmed that this is a TRU exclusive?...and by that I mean the cheapest you can get it is at the lego store?ncbarrett wrote:MSRP 89.99 - now shipping

Sure you can always wait for a sale. I was more thinking retail price. Even the lego store has smaller discounts at times. That extra 20 bucks in price difference is a large portion to make up with a coupon/sale.sadowsk1 wrote:I don't think that is necessarily true. I feel like it is wishful thinking that these sets will still be around on the shelves almost 2 years later like echo base, but I hope you are right so we can see some good discounts.
Originally I was hyped up for this set but the more I think about it I might wait. I'm torn. I'll get skiff and Jabbas palace for sure and wait on this one and the sub (the main attraction to the sub was amidala anyway). If they release a set that connects to palpatines revenge....jedi council chamber, then it will become a must buy for me.
Speaking of a set that might connect to palpatines revenge: Anyone know when the next toy fair is that we might get sneak peeks of more 2013 winter release sets? Rancor pit and Bag end were both so awesome looking that we saw at comic con it leaves me jonesing to see more
