Hrm... now that I think about it, I don't recall seeing any 'Cannibal Escape' 'The Mill' or 'Whitecap Bay' at my WM. But 'London Escape', 'Isla de la Muerta' and 'Fountain of Youth' were all full price. Literally the only two that were discounted and in stock were 'Captain's Cabin' and QAR at my location.brickster90 wrote:Sounds like my Wal*Mart - Captain's Cabin was $7 (I got 3), Cannibal Escape was $21, The Mill was full price (??), Black Pearl was $69, and QAR was $79. They still had plenty of ships left and I just found out that a friend works at that Wal*Mart, so hopefully I can snag some when they go lower in price.

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
I didn't find any Whitecap Bay (That was discounted to $40 months ago), and Isla de la Muerta and Fountain of Youth were nowhere to be found. Strange.
Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
If you missed out on the Friends 3061 City Park Café during the great Kmart clearance, have seen it at more than one Walmart for $22-23 with pretty deep stock. If it makes it to another price cut that's a nice deal on some unusual parts even if you don't go in for the Friends stuff.

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
My Walmart has multiple QAR's and Falcons in their clearance section, but they are all still@ MSRP. I'm in South Carolina. Very frustrating!
Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
Just when I was about to give up all hope, I scored the BP for $30 and the QAR for $25 thanks to a series of very helpful interactions with friendly Walmart staff (far from the norm in my area).
Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
Care to explain? Was this some sort of price match, insanely good luck or the next round of clearance a bit early???ninjagoyo wrote:Just when I was about to give up all hope, I scored the BP for $30 and the QAR for $25 thanks to a series of very helpful interactions with friendly Walmart staff (far from the norm in my area).
In any case, I am quite jealous. I was not able to score any QAR despite having gone to 6 or 7 kmarts.

Keep an eye on them. They'll change them any day. That's how I finally scored our Falcon.

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
Guess I'll just have to keep checking my Walmart every night after work from now on. At least it's only a couple blocks away from me. I want that Falcon! I wouldn't mind the Black Pearl at $30 either!
Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
One Walmart store I tried that I hadn't been to in a while has crapload of LEGO on sale. Pictures is worth 1000 words:

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Lego- ... 095237.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Pretty much all of HP, older SW, and PotC sets plus a few others in the mix. Looks like they were getting ready to move the entire stock of clearance'd LEGO out to make room for the new LotR sets and other new sets.
Regretfully I didn't have enough money for all of them so I took the 4 SW turbo tanks. I left behind easily over $1,000 worth of LEGO (after mark down that is) If you really want a shot at this, Walmart store off Saginaw in Grand Blanc area which is around 15 minutes drive south of Flint. Reseller galore right there in that picture.

Oh man... I see Super Hero sets in there. Were those on clearance too??
Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
I think those boxes are going to get thrown out. The few non-clearance sets on that rack were all opened and some completely empty. Pilfered by shoplifters.brickster90 wrote:Oh man... I see Super Hero sets in there. Were those on clearance too??

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
Did they have an additional 50% off? Or were the prices like most stores -- $89 for big Hogwarts, $30 for Hagrid's Hut, etc.wilykat wrote:One Walmart store I tried that I hadn't been to in a while has crapload of LEGO on sale. Pictures is worth 1000 words:

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
Just talked with a manager about one of the Falcon sets. She checked their "system"and said there were no markdowns coming for that set. Walmart is very inconsistent!
Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
Just got back from the Walmart in White Plains, NY. All POTC and HP sets are 30% off, all Star Wars was full price. They had a lot of the smaller POTC boxes in their clearance section next to the escaltor. I didn't see any ships and the only HP set was a bashed up Hagrid's Hut. I remember seeing a Black Pearl on display last weekend at full price so I asked the toy dept manager. She said they had just reset the Lego isle on Tuesday to make way for the new sets and went to check in the back. She came back wheeling 2 trolleys of bigger sets, with several Black Pearls and QAR's all marked as clearance. I picked up both ($69 for BP, $79 for QAR) but there is quite a bit left.

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
Yep same here (Los Angeles County, CA) QAR for $79 and BP for $69 at one store.
(While at TRU next door, BP is going for $119, seriously?)

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance
Just left a store a bit out of the way, talked the manager into half off the last QAR (tape on the side, but heavy and not too bashed up). They had a bunch of Whitecap at $54, I'll keep an eye on that. But BP was still at retail on the main aisle, other stuff was jammed into the clearance aisle.
I've got three stores within an hour's drive that have not marked down BP (or AC!) but have done QAR. I can only get there so often, so if any of you are near stores that have done the same (it seems pretty common), please post here if you see it marked down. I'm going to another one tomorrow but expect to see just the same HP sitting there. The store 5 minutes from me had absolutely nothing from HP, POTC or AC and probably hadn't since Xmas.
(sorry if this is a double post, after 20 mins my last one still hasn't shown up)

How much were the Turbo Tanks? Are you willing to sell one?!wilykat wrote:One Walmart store I tried that I hadn't been to in a while has crapload of LEGO on sale. Pictures is worth 1000 words:

Wow! That's quite a find! I'd have loved a shot at just one SW Tank...wilykat wrote:One Walmart store I tried that I hadn't been to in a while has crapload of LEGO on sale. Pictures is worth 1000 words:
