Someone on the Eurobricks forum said he saw Gandalf Arrives at his local TRU... so hopefully soon!

As much as I would love to get them a little early, I don't think I can justify paying 5-20 bucks more per set. I mean if I bought all 4 from TRU right now that would end up costing me 178 bucks not including taxes. That's almost a 40 dollar difference, or the price of a whole nother LotR Lego set (Orc Forge)! Hopefully some other stores will get them in soon with more reasonable prices...

Has anyone checked their local TRU? It says sold in stores but it wont let me order with store pickup. I am gonna wait for the prices to go down to buy mine but it's a friends birthday and he is a huge fan of LOTR and other fantasy type stuff, it would be cool to get him one. If you have let me know, if not I may just stop by on the way to my bike ride

Generally there are some stores that will already have them, and now that they are available online to order, they will start showing up in more stores.
So might be hit and miss at your local TRU.

I have found all of the Lord of the rings sets available online for preorder except the Orc Forge set 9476.

Will that set be exclusive to a certain retailer? Anyone know?

I'm only seeing the other 6 sets on the Target website. I'd think if they were listing the others they would list their exclusive set...but maybe not?

edit: scratch that^

I searched orc forge specifically and it showed up. Not sure why it didnt show up with all the other lego lotr sets.. anyway, thanks for clearing that up for me

You can call the store and give them the item number on the web page under the information section and they can look it up. Stores have started receiving them, and there have already been sightings. All stores should have them soon.

I almost completed the Fellowship yesterday, just missing the Weathertop set -- it was the only one not available at my Fred Meyer yesterday. With the coupon the sets ended up being 25% off.

1630 Miles from me as well :_(
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.
