Zellers Canada Liquidation: First Wave Starts March 14-16

I think it all depends on how busy the closing down store is. For the slower stores, we will see higher percentage discount, while stores that are still bringing in enough money might not see the big discount anytime soon.

Still 30% and all the good ones are already gone. Was at my local store just a few minutes late, 2 moms had in their carts the last police trucks 7288 that I was interested. At 30% they are going and gone quickly because some parents don't wait for better markdown :( I think most people compare the Canadian MSRP with the TRU sales which were normally 20 to 25% off, so 30% is a steal to them. Some people.....(sigh) I found myself a small Creator set and took off. There're some other toys at 40% but not Lego.

Ottawa Zellers is now starting to put up 40% off signs around the store - Lego & most other stuff (ex: hardware) is at 40%; foods & small appliances are still at 10%, and dog stuff is at 20% now

Cedarbrae Mall in Scarborough put up the 40% signs on Wednesday.

Still quite a bit left. A couple Rise of the Sphinx, Atlantis Angler Attack & Deep Sea Raider, Star Wars Genosian Starfighters, Ewok Attack & Battle of Naboo, Ninjago Skull Truck, World Racers Gator Swamp, and a crapload of Hero Factory.

All still there except skull truck. Also lots v wings, jedi shuttles, bounty hunter gunships, and sith attack. also saw some of the smaller city, creator and cars sets

Lots of Cars sets, and Hero Factory like the Witch Doctor, and Waspix. A few Battle of Naboo's, Genosian Starfighters, and still a couple Rise of the Sphinx. Also saw 2 or 3 of the small Duplo Brick Boxes. It's kind of scattered across 3 aisles.

Nothing left in the Hamilton store - a couple of Hero Factory sets only, but they are 50% off now too. People really cleaned it out at 40%.

The discount has been upped to 60%. The local store had nothing but one Lego Champion game (picked up for $17... Still almost not worth it) but YMMV.

Last day at one here is tomorrow June 5th. Was there on Saturday and the store was almost empty.
