Ninjago DVD?
I'm hoping to dig up information about the future availability of Ninjago on DVD. My kids really love the show and we have most of them DVR'd but that's not really a good long-term strategy for keeping it around. Has anyone heard if this is going to be released on DVD, iTunes or any download format? I can't find much anywhere.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Ninjago DVD?
I emailed LEGO's customer service asking about this and at the time, a few months ago, they didn't know anything about a DVD. That doesn't mean it isn't going to be made, they just can't say anything about the future, for the most part.themarshall wrote:I'm hoping to dig up information about the future availability of Ninjago on DVD. I really recommend emailing or calling LEGO's customer service and let them know that you want it on DVD. The more people that tell them that it's wanted, the more likely they'll make it. I really want it on DVD because I'm stuck watching low-res on Youtube because I don't have cable/satellite. I really enjoy the cartoon and wish that LEGO would put more of their great animations on DVD. Like they never did a second part to Clutch Powers and that was funny!

Lego Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu is available on DVD. It's only 2 episodes running 44 minutes total. Try Amazon

Is the first season only 2 episodes? It looks that way on IMDB. Hopefully they'll release the complete second season as a set... I'd hate to continue seeing it released 2 episodes per disc.dehnehsu wrote:Lego Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu is available on DVD. It's only 2 episodes running 44 minutes total. Try Amazon

The are two 22min episodes, and six 2min. mini-episodes. The latter are probably missing from the DVD.silvashado wrote:Is the first season only 2 episodes? It looks that way on IMDB.

There's a season 2 with 13 episodes. That's the one with the snakes that I'd like on DVD. Season 1 on DVD was only 2 episodes with the skeletons.

Ah, I see. I only ever saw the two episodes. I'll have to look up the mini episodes.GuaranteedUnity wrote:The are two 22min episodes, and six 2min. mini-episodes. The latter are probably missing from the DVD.silvashado wrote:Is the first season only 2 episodes? It looks that way on IMDB.

To confuse things further, it looks like the two 22min. episodes are sometimes billed as four 11min. episodes (see Brickipedia for their titles and provenance), so depending on whom you ask/what you count, the first season is either 2, 4, 8 or 10 episodes long.

And to answer the original Q., there do appear to be downloads floating about, but nothing official (*cough cough* Google *cough*).

tvshowsondvd.com has Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu - Season 1 scheduled for a June 26, 2012 release, although at 13 episodes/286 minutes, it appears to be a mislabeled Season 2.

Re: Ninjago DVD?
I would assume that "Season One " is to be considered the snakes. Skeletons would then be the Pilot Season. In the Lego world snakes is what we think of Season Two. Make sense?

Re: Ninjago DVD?
It's a little bizarre, but the two first episodes with the skeletons were a kind of pilot, I think, to test the waters. It did well so they did the snake season which is considered by LEGO to be season 1. The interesting thing is that I've heard rumors that they will do 3 full seasons of the TV show, but I wonder if they will match it with sets. I thought they were only going to do 3 series of the LEGO sets and next year would be the third. But I know Ninjago has also sold very well for them so they may be continuing it for a fourth year of LEGO sets.
I don't know. It's a bit confusing, but I think it's because they do things cautiously and don't anticipate the high response and then they have to scramble to meet the demand. Time will tell. I just hope the sets get better in design. The story of Ninjago is very fun, though there are parts of the TV show I wish they had made into a LEGO set like Jay's parents' car. That would have been very cool.

Re: Ninjago DVD?
This has all been helpful. I intended to cause any confusion with the season numbers (I use thetvdb.com for most of my episode summaries, etc.) http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=253323&lid=7" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
but I can see now that Lego is calling the snakes Season 1 so that does cause some confusion. In the end I'm just happy to see a link to the Snakes season so many thanks! I'm surprised they don't offer it on blu-ray since it airs in high-def but no complaints, half the time the kids watch this on a 7" screen in the car or 9" screen on the iPad.
I'd love to see Jay's parents' car :)
