I thought the Downtown Disney stores (Anaheim and Orlando) were actual LBS. Isn't it the stores at LEGOLand that are the "discovery centers"? I could be wrong though as I have only been to the Orlando store once and didn't buy anything.

Brixter...show them a copy of the April Calendar....that might help.

^ You're right, I don't know what I was thinking... It is a LEGO Brand Store. Sorry for spreading misinformation, Brixter... You must have just had the misfortune to talk to someone who wasn't informed of the promo. That said, they should have asked someone else in the store instead of just flat out telling you they didn't know anything about it.

Just got home with my 5 cups! Not the best selection but I could not pass this up. Dude at the register also told me double vip points will be the month of October.

It seems like double points regularly happen in March and October. It's been that way for the past couple of years at any rate. Probably those are low points in sales.

I went last night and got 7 cups. When I first got there, it wasn't too busy, but it got busier. While I was trying to get the pieces I wanted as fast as I could, I made sure to watch out for kids. I'm not so self-centered as to not watch out for others, especially kids. So it peeves me to hear about others who aren't so considerate.

In fact, I helped a guy pick out pieces for his son. He wasn't sure what certain pieces were for so I helped educate him. It really felt good, but I think I talked too long because after a few minutes, he kinda gave me a weird look. I eased off and told him that I was just trying to help and that I'm a very big fan of LEGO. If he had any questions, to just let me know. After a few minutes of us both browsing quietly, he did ask me a few more questions. So I didn't scare him off completely.

lol I helped out a few people as well. I had a super hot milf asked me if I worked at the store. I told her no but I could answer her questions. I have only been back into legos for the last year or so but I have more knowledge than most of the employees. Ha maybe I can find my future wife at a lego store.

If I saw someone pick up the small cup, i tried to ask if they were a VIP member and point out the promo.

Heh, I heard someone ask one of the workers what people do with the PAB pieces if there are no instructions...

I always drives me nuts to see people buy the cups and fill them so poorly that there are huge gaps!

Although I never say anything because I'm afraid that they might be offended. Part of me wants to help them out, but a lot of people don't want strangers giving them suggestions, if you know what I mean. ;-)

I figure people will notice the way I'm packing my cup and take mental notes if they care. If not, no skin off my nose, just more pieces that can go in my cup! ;-)

I'm a total PAB wall addict.
I've even practiced filling boxes and cups up at home in order to maximize my score.
And I routinely cruise by a local Lego store just to scout their inventory.

I ended up with 10218 & 10219. How bad is it that my Lego store has only been open for 3 weeks and the employees are on a first name basis with me.....
