It's funny, I just saw a picture of the L2 biplane build, and they don't seem to take their own advice from October's tip - the far end of the wing is a bit splayed out in the picture, denoting that there is no plate under it to keep them flat.

Heh, TLG playing favorites!

I got the email within a few hours of posting and then got the kit within a few days. Only got time to build Tyrax, but he's cool.

I'm surprised we haven't yet heard anything about the next subscription for Levels 3 and 4.

But that would be cutting it rather close, don't you think? In order to continue with the next level without a break (receiving Level 3/Kit 7 two months after Level 2/Kit 6) I would need to then subscribe immediately upon receipt of Kit 6, which doesn't give me all that much time to set aside the money and/or decide if it's worth continuing. If they were smart, we'd have seen some teasers or announcements when Level 2 started, to get us pumped.

Does anyone know if you get previous sets if you subscribe after they're released?

You start at kit 1 then proceed each consecutive kit after that.

I wrote to LCS and this was the relevant part of the response I got:
I'm afraid the new Master Builder Academy Program for Year 2 is still on the drawing board so we do not have specific details to provide to you. Although it isn't available to purchase at the moment details will be provided to current members in plenty of time for renewal without loss of any continuity.
Seems like they're REALLY cutting it close, frankly.

I think they waited to see how successful year 1 was before staring year 2.
hopefully they get it set up real soon. :geek:

You'd think they would know how successful year 1 was, now that it's 5/6ths of the way through.

Thanks for the heads-up! Very odd that they didn't send out an email or press release or something. Just in case it's an erroneous go-live, I've copied the description and pics:

The value hasn't really gone down - it's a total of 632 pieces for $60. It's basically just Level 3, not bundled with Level 4. Kit 7 comes in a box with sorting tray and brick separator the same way Level 1 Kit 1 did, too. I like the fact that "each kit has 11 separate building instructions" - that's cool!

That said, I find it odd that all three kits share a common theme - "Adventure Designer" - instead of three different themes the way Levels 1 and 2 were released, though the modular nature of the three kits together makes me happy - I'm all about modularity, after all.
