[USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds

70% and 50% off today. Found Whitecap Bay for 70% and the Mill as well. Found Palpatines shuttle 50% and a bunch of ninjago 50%. Also had a ton of Portal of Atlantis and PQ Pyrmaid but just 50%. Final markdowns should be today. Good luck.

LEGO at Target has gone down to 50% in my area today. I went to Target twice this morning, because I had second thoughts about one of the sets I'd seen. The first trip there was almost nothing there - I picked up 2 SW battle packs and a PotC London Escape, plus there was a SW Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle that was still scanning at $42. I decided to go back at lunchtime to ask about that set. It had in fact been marked down to $29.98 in the meantime, plus I discovered they had brought out a whole pallet of LEGO from the back, too. This is what they have:

Ninjago Spinjitzu Dojo $24.98 (I believe that was the price, but not sure)
Ninjago Battle Arena $24.98 (as above)
NInjago Turbo Shredder $16.98
Various Ninjago Spinners for $4-5something

When I left there were lots of Ninjago SD and BA left (I think I bought the only Turbo Shredder), 3-4 Portals, 1 City of Atlantis, 1 London Escape, 2 Cad Bane's (the CB were in the regular LEGO aisle, but were marked clearance) and 1 Meteor Strike.

This is the Target in Highland Park, IL.

ps. For anyone with young kids, I also picked up the Hot Wheels 6 Lane Super Raceway for $23 (there are no more left at that particular store, though).

I can confirm that 50% off or more is active at the Target in Somerville, MA. Lots of Ninjago sets, a few SW Advents, and both the Portal of Atlantis and PQ Pyramid were in stock and discounted further during lunchtime today.

I found two HP polybags, too, but they wouldnt sell them to me since it rang up as 'not in system'. Frustrating, as I had checked the Christmas section twice the week before and didn't find any. Oh well.

Prices dropped to 50% in my area today too (Austin TX - Four Points). Found a SBSP Krusty Krab Adventures for $12.49 (50%) just now.

Gonna have to check other stores to find a Portal of Atlantis... The sets I was watching at this store were already sold by the time I got there today. There was one more KKA left, and one Cars set; no other clearance LEGO sets present.

Went to 3 Targets at lunch.
Tustin Marketplace was crazy. One woman had 3 carts full and staked 6 feet tall with toys. There was very slim pickings. However, I did find a small Atlantis set and a Hoth set (in Barbie row) for 50% off.

At the Tustin, I was able to pick up a Portal of Atlantis and PQ Pyramid for 50% off. Still had lots of Ninjago Battle Arena at $24.98.

Irvine had over a dozen Portal of Atlanti (Alantises??) and half dozen PQ Pyramids for 50% off. Other than that they had several Atlantis Undersea Explorers.

As of 12:45pm or so. I think I noticed some disappearing as I was debating whether to buy them. Worked out to 7¢/piece for the SW set and 6¢/piece for the Atlantis set. My hangup is mostly cash flow issues. Not enough interesting bricks in the SW set for my taste, but the figs go for 3 bucks each and the wampa goes for something like 8 bucks. The Atlantis set had too many red pieces and odd stuff going on, but I liked the little monster guy's tail. Oh well.

All the holiday stuff was gone. They were putting out Valentine's day crap.

Noticed some Toy Story polybags by the checkouts, just a few. Anyone know if those are discounted? Also saw that SW polybag of the micro-sized triangular ship.

To go along with the 50% off, my store decided to bring out all the Pyramids they had in the back. They must have 25 of them on the shelves now! Was happy to pick up a Portal of Atlantis and the last Space Center they had.

I scanned the SW one on Tuesday and it was $3.99. I think the Toy Story ones were also part of a promo they did where if you bought $19.99 in City, you got a free polybag. My store didn't have them so I could not check them.

Unfortunatelys the ones I've visited in san jose still have PoTC at full price :( and all of the clearance except odd city truck/SW/Atlantis has been wiped out.

I have to ask.
Is anyone here from Marshalltown, Iowa, or Fort Waine, IN? My friends in these cities do not care for Lego, but if I know exactly what sets are on sale, I can ask them to buy it for me. Here in Siberia our regular prices are twice higher than in US and sales are rare (mostly 20%)

They are not always in the clearance aisle here, but they are always the same sets - Atlantis, first run Ninjago, some Star Wars (Cad Bane, Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle, Hoth Wampa), PotC London Escape, PQ. No Black Pearl, Spongebob, HP 4842 Hogwarts or Space sets have been on clearance as other areas of the country are reporting.

Finally hit the jackpot tonight, after driving all over SoCal for the last couple of weeks. Stopped at the Compton Target (off the 91), and they had a ton of stuff in the clearance aisle all 50% off. SW, City, PQ, Atlantis, Ninjago and Cars. Strangely, most of the PoTC was still at regular price.

I wanted a Lego City Space Center. The one I was checking on at a local Target got bought before I could get to the store today.

Lots of Portal of Atlantis, Deep Sea Raiders and PQ Pyramids in my area. SW Legos are too popular here so not a lot make it to the 50% off drop.
