Re: [USA] Target Christmas/Holiday - 70% off

Post by melsig » Thu Jan 05, 2012 12:34 pm

I optimistically went to Target again this morning, since it's Thursday. Remaining Lego (there's really not much left) seems to be 30% off. By digging around, I found a lone Ninjago Earth Dragon for $24 (I hadn't been lucky enough to find one at Walmart so I picked it up), a NInjago watch for my son for $8.48 and a couple more HP and target practice polys, but that was it. I don't think I'm going to bother going again.

Great deals! I found:

PORTAL OF ATLANTIS $29.98!!

That's the main attraction.
Also, one Spy Jet Escape for $14.98 and a Spinjitzu Dojo for the same price.

There were also a lot of Pharaoh's Quest Pyramids for $69.98; hopefully they go down in price next Thursday.

This is in the Lynchburg, VA Target.

to my surprise there were at least 3 of these at my Walmart this morning, they had not been there the other day.

$17.40 is an instant pick up
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

Oooh, I'm envious. There are no Walmarts really close to where I live and the ones I can get to are a bit, uh, shall we say downmarket, even for Walmart. I found a Slave I the day after Christmas (which was the big find), but nothing else that was really on my "want" list.

I went to Target today and the holiday/Christmas section was now 90% off. Time to scour the store for those polybags! I found 5....you may really have to dig. Try the checkouts and look at all the pegs with the SW sets as they might be mixed in, I found 4 in the checkout lane. ETA: I could not pass up the polys for 34/39 cents!

The LEGO sets in the toy aisle still seem to be 15-30% off at my store.

On Portal, use a price scanner to double check - some were still marked &69.98, but they all rang up for $29.98. Good luck!

I can confirm bags @ 2 different Targets were .34 cents. Grabbed 3 more Target Practice. Not sure if this is at every Target. May try some more tomorrow. Atlantis and PQ sets were still 30%.

Makes me so sad to hear that clearance is 90% off. I checked yesterday and whatever was left was only 30% off. Also, polybags were gone the day after xmas.

Just to be clear the 90% was only Christmas merchandise - gift bags, paper, ornaments. Christmas food items, and polybags because they were in the stocking stuffer area. I did not see toys at 90% off!

Looks like the next wave of discounts has kicked in at Target.  Things that were at 15% last Friday have been reduced to 30%.  Although some stuff seemed stuck at 15%.  No sign of any Kingdoms sets.

The best deal I found was the Apple Tree House for $19.98.  It did not have a clearance sticker or any kind of indication that it was on sale.  The longer stuff sits on the shelves, the worse shape the boxes are in.  I found a few straggler CMF s5.  They were $2.05.

As for the polybags, Target Practice was $0.34!!!  I'm not into the HP Potions polybag, but I would assume it to be at 90% off as well.  We'll see what remains next Friday when things should hit the 50% level.

atmail35, I was at the Salem NH store and Methuen, MA. Grabbed the last of them in each spot. Salem said 3 more in store but I couldn't locate them. Woburn said it had them but I couldn't find any.

Thanks for the info...not my usual stores anyway, but always good to see where stuff is showing up!

6 more at Everett and I grabbed those. The 34 cents is definitely on it seems.
We are set. We will be solidifying our King's castle army tonight and maybe doing a little bit of landscaping with the extra shrubbery. :)

Grabbed a couple Harry Potter labs in Dallas- Northwest HWY/Skillman Targets. No sign of kingdom poly bags... 90% off is too good to pass up...

My Target was at 15-30% for most LEGO still, and has at least two dozen each of the giant pyramid and portal sets. But two sets were at 50% off and I grabbed them - Knight Bus for $17.48 and Hogwart's Castle for $64.98! Great deal.

Despite my earlier vow not to go to Target again, I did check 2 other stores. HP is not on sale at all in my area, except I found a lone 4867 Hogwarts (the smaller set) for $34 - the seals were intact but the box was shopworn, which may be why it was on clearance. I also found 1 PotC Fountain of Youth for $10 - no other PotC set was on clearance - and a stray Target practice poly for .34.

I went to the Millbury, MA Target today and Portal of Atlantis-(the 100 dollar Atlantis set) Was only marked down to 69 and some change. Scanned it and everything. If you're close to this store, you might want to keep an eye out as there were many of this set stacked on the tippy top shelf. About 15-20 of that particular set.

Star Wars Advent calendar was marked down to 29 - that was about all I saw in the clearance aisle. A couple of ninjago spinners-nya and sensei wu were a whopping 8.38 (or something close) on clearance. WOO HOO!

The new sets were only half full. A few Batman left, Dino, Friends, green Ninjago and Crash car sets lined the shelves sparingly.

Hope this helps.
Jared
