Interesting since I thought the sale was this whole week.
I wonder if it's the same at the Lego B/M store as well...

My Ramses Pyramid was also cancelled today.
Re: [US/CA] LEGOShop Boxing Day 2011 LEGO Deals
My 12 Ramses games I ordered with a few other things got cancelled also. I ordered them at about 4 am Eastern time on the first day. I'm not mad though - I was only after the parts and baseplates because the price was so low but I don't really need them that badly, especially without free shipping. I'm still getting the free exclusive Kendo Jay anyways, despite the order now being well below the threshhold to get him.
Re: [US/CA] LEGOShop Boxing Day 2011 LEGO Deals
I stopped store today. found they have Starwars Calendar for $19.99 (same as Walmart) if I am not mistaken.
but it would be a better deal because you earn VIP points and if you have 10% coupon from LEGO club that would be sweeter.
Also, I asked the guy to order Minifigure Playing cards online for me because they are OOS in store. got free shipping :)

Wow... my Ramses Pyramid got cancelled (as expected), and then I received my first package today. Some of it got pushed back like the Motorcycles... I ordered 3 PQ Battle Packs, and found that I had 4 in my box =)
Thanks TLG, you guys rock

I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Well it looks like the sale is over, all the sale items have been put back to their pre-sale prices.
Re: [US/CA] LEGOShop Boxing Day 2011 LEGO Deals
I think they meant to prices down another notch, maybe to 40 or 50% off, but accidentally ended up putting everything at pre-firesale prices.Brickbuilder0937 wrote:Well it looks like the sale is over, all the sale items have been put back to their pre-sale prices.
It's gonna suck for B&M stores to be ripping all the sale price tags off all of the sets that were previously on clearance without damaging some boxes.
Re: [US/CA] LEGOShop Boxing Day 2011 LEGO Deals
I don't think so. I could be wrong but I don't think they'd be that quick/desperate to kick down the prices another notch after less than a week. They probably cleared a good amount of inventory, it just wouldn't be necessary.l44l44 wrote:I think they meant to prices down another notch, maybe to 40 or 50% off, but accidentally ended up putting everything at pre-firesale prices.
Plus, it's better business to have a sale, then end a sale (they're not going out of business). It makes those who participated in making a purchase feel they made a deal when the time was right, and it convinces others that they need to make the jump when the window is open, as opposed to "holding out until the price drops a little lower." They'll also get less calls from people trying to modify their orders once they see items dropping in price they purchased a couple days before the new clearance.

I was surprised to see the Post Office price go back up. Is that typical? I thought they were gone, then they came back at full price.

The sale is still on for brand stores (for mine, at least).
Re: [US/CA] LEGOShop Boxing Day 2011 LEGO Deals
For the Post Office yes. It is brand new (released 2011), and will most likely be around for the next year or 2, so they will put it back to full MSRP, and eventually have another sale on it in the future.harrelmusic wrote:I was surprised to see the Post Office price go back up. Ah ha. This is good news. Seeing as how this is the first year I'm officially out of the Dark Ages, I'm glad to know I'll have a chance to buy it next year. I was under the impression that I had to buy every set the moment it came out.Luciant wrote:For the Post Office yes. The Holiday sets at least the 10222 Winter Village Post Office will be back again for another year and 10216 Holiday Bakery will be good at least until the end of this year and may go the way of the 10199 Winter Village Toy Shop did this year, it is a 2009 release...
And here's waiting for the next Winter set to replace 10199 Winter Village Toy Shop...
Also, I was able to get at least one of each sets from the sale deals from TLG

I went back last friday and it looked like none of the stores restocked on anything. Overall I was pretty disappointed on the sale.
Re: [US/CA] LEGOShop Boxing Day 2011 LEGO Deals
10195 is still at 30% off at store if you can find any. Yesterday, I stacked it with the 10% coupon and making it $158 before tax... not a bad deal if you ask me :)

Lego S@H has the Pirate Codes back, but at $8 instead of $6 like a couple of months ago. Must have found a stash in the warehouse:
