[USA] Target in-store 12/26

Post by brixter » Mon Dec 26, 2011 7:34 am

I'm guessing this will be extremely YMMV, but the Target by Yankee stadium in the Bronx had very few deals. The SW Advent calendar was about $28. None of the sets that were recently clearanced online were on sale. The few remaining S5 minifigs were still at $2.99. The only thing worth noting were the polybags. Target practice was $1.74 (50% off). Harry Potter trolley was $1.99 (50% off). The SW Republic Cruiser was regular price. They had A LOT of polybags. They were not up at the front, but literally stuffed into the toy section in between the regular set boxes.

The day is still young, off to the Lego store...

Same here in Chicagoland - no further discounts on LEGO sets at this point. They were still about 15% off and SW Advent was still at @ $33.00. HP trolley was $1.99 and Kingdoms target practice was $1.74. City and SW polys were full price.

Just came here to post the exact same thing... HP 30111 and Target Practice 30062 half price. I've been looking at them all season long but 3.49 and 3.99 seemed a bit steep. Got one of each today and left plenty for everyone else :).

As for shopping today- I went out at 8 in the morning and it was literally dead. I was expecting Black Friday like swarms and I was pleasantly surprised. Is this how it usually is for people who have gone out in the past? Small crowds day after Christmas sales? Everything on sale was still in stock. People were pleasant and moved aside. Others drank coffee and I heard laughter. What a 180 from what I expected.

Well, the polybags are well worth it at 50 percent off. Go grab some!

well, target opens at 7am today. i was there at 8:30am. nothing to note. saw a few lego games at 50% but nah...not biting. saw another afol at the store though and he was going berserk putting almost everything into his cart though it was like 15-30%. tsk tsk... wonder how he's going to resell at those levels. i overheard the target staff talking about him....laughing at him buying all that lego sets.

anyway, doesn't seem like there's any good deals so far. will need to wait for the calendar to fall to like 75% to grab some.

Yep - the only thing I found too was the polybags. Target toy section was an absolute mess, and I went to 2 stores.

Even their clearance items were only 15% off. And my local Targets don't stock polybags. Grrr.

That was my brother.

Just kidding  That's pretty funny. Geez, there has been so many BOGO sales lately that 15-30% off is becoming more like MRSP. I don't get excited about anything lower than 35% anymore.

Come on guys! End of Year sales....lets see what ya got!

My local target only had the Harry potter sets left but no archers. Still some left behind. They still
Had a fair selection of other sets but only about 15 - 20 percent off. Sad face.

San Jose Oakridge Mall store had some slight discounts. Some prices are $42.xx instead of $49.xx on a larger Ninjago and same on a City set. Found a few Creator Apple Tree Houses for 27.xx and calculated 5¢/piece for that.

I didn't buy anything. Oh and I think they took polybags out of the holiday clearance.

Found the HP poly for 50% off @ every Target but no Target Practice left. I woke up really late though. What surprised me were the 3 or 4 boxes of CMF5 at one location but they were only marked down 50 cents. I was so tempted to snag the last Hogwarts Express but it was only about $12 off. Atlantis squid and Racers polybags but at full price.
Kingdoms Blacksmith Attack was $8.50...
POC Isla De Muerta 50% off

Lots of HP polybags at both Target's I went to. Barely any Target practice. I picked up one of the HP poly's for my 4 1/2 year old.

The two stores by me had no polybags left. For some reason, they remove them when they have the seasonal section on clearance. I see them doing that after each seasonal sales like, valentines day, Halloween and xmas.

I guess the manager of the store hate the customers, and he/she hoards all the clearance items in the garage.

[USA] Wal-Mart Clearance

I went to my local target and over half the Lego isle was 30% off. There wasn't just a few and hope they are in stock, but scores of different sets; Ninjago, Cars, Toy Story, City, Star Wars, Creator, even CMFs.

Target Practice and Harry Potter Polybags 50% off, mountains of them.

My Target has S5 MFs for $2.74. Other than that, they had tons of the HP polys for 1/2 off and that was pretty much about it. Their clearanced items was a joke.

Oh, and I saw the free polys that you buy w/ purchase. They were all $4 each.

My local Target was a joke too. There were some "clearance" items, but they were only marked down 15%.

The reason why the previous wave of polybags went to 38 cents while still in stock was because of a SKU mistake of Target that has included the non-Halloween polybags mixed in while not appetizing the 50% off, 70% off, and 90% off. The chances of them staying in stock until 70% and 90% is very very slim this time. Just my 2 cents...

during post halloween, the clearance discount dropped every other 2or 3 days.

but like wei11364 said, i agree, they possibly might sell out more quickly.

Local Target #2 had 8 (yes, E-I-G-H-T) boxes of CMF S5 for $2.08 each. Who said there wasn't anything worthwhile left?

They also have 90% of 2012 releases too...
