I passed on it and we returned today (Saturday) I saw sitting on top of some boxes in the Garden section a Lego XXL box, I grabbed it, scanned it, $30! We passed by toys and they had another box stuck in a go-back cart. Online says our Mt. View store is sold out, yet a couple missplaced ones remained. So if you want one, keep checking the go-back carts as some loose ones may turn up. Looks like the price went up to $39 at Walmart online. (Still a good deal)

I saw that the product description for this set says it includes an "inspirational idea booklet" All mine came with was 14 bagged multi colored Lego bricks, No booklet. Anyone get a booklet with theirs?
Found 2 only opened one for "emergency parts" when doing the Lego train display at the B&O Museum this weekend....no book in mine either.

Multiples - Sell some and give others as gifts. These will make my kid's young friend's VERY happy for birthdays! :)

We are keeping 1 Duplo and 3 Lego boxes, the rest will be given away or sold to help fun the addiction. :)

Was just at my local walmart and they had about a dozen of each still, priced at 30$. Check your local walmart before assuming they are gone. I must admit these do not appeal to me, but the shear size of the box IS pretty impressive for 30$.

I got the last two (1 Duplo and 1 Lego) at my local WalMart tonight. But both of them are opened.
Can anyone confirm how many bags inside of each box?

I can confirm there were 14 bags in both 5512 boxes that I opened...

Went to Walmart today, and they still have a few sets... I reached to grab 2 boxes, and then convinced myself that I've already spent entirely too much on Lego, and that I already had a set, and didn't need any more 'basic' Legos and decided to pass again... $30 is such a tempting price though... can't even get that many big bricks in 2 PaB cups....

Previous poster said there should be 14 Polybags-o-fun
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Thanks for the confimation NIGELTTF. Looks like the Walmart product description is wrong, No Idea Book included. I'm sure it would say on the box somewhere if one was to be included. Also confirmed, it looks like 14 bags, i'll assume all my bricks are there. (My box was sealed) I'm not going to inventory all 1600 pieces! They could have made the Box at least 1/3rd smaller as well!

I did pass on this deal at first, so when I got a second chance, I couldn't let it go!

This set is amazing, how can you not like 1,600 Lego bricks for less than 2 cents a brick?

Really? That is just all kinds of crazy good cheap...!!!

My XXL set arrived today from Walmart, and it was bigger than I thought it would be!

Don't trust the Online Stock indicator @ Wal-Mart.com for these. Local store had several (11) in 'law-a-way' program and these are still listed as 'in stock'. A store down the road that was listed as 'out-of-stock' online had a least 2 in the toy 'overflow' isle at $30- I got one of them... Didn't see any Duplo versions...

Anyone near the Mountain View, Calif. Walmart there are 3 XXL Duplo's and 2 XXL Lego boxes on a table by the Bikes near toys close to the price scanner. They still scan at $30. (1 Lego box is opened. FYI, there should be 14 poly bags total)

I went to my local Walmart tonight to do my grocery shopping and while we were there, we went into the Lego aisle to see what is new. Low and behold there was one lone XXL box of regular legos on the top shelf. So needless to say, I snatched it. Also they had the new mini minifigure collector cases there for $9.99. $5 cheaper than TRU but no large cases.
