Check out this link to the Target gift card page:

http://www.target.com/c/GiftCards/-/N-5xsxu" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It shows the Lego bullseye gift card front and center. It suggests there's a movie to play, but I get a strange flashing popup in both Safari and Firefox. Can anybody successfully view this?

More importantly, I can't find the thing for sale on the website. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I've had the same difficultly with the online movie, and no, I haven't found them on-line either.

I tried the Target close to me three times with no luck finding these over the weekend. I went to a different store this morning to see if they had restocked, and also couldn't find them anywhere. After asking a few stock-clerks, they directed me to the Customer Service desk where a manager had them behind the counter in a box. This store (Somerville, MA) had lots of them left, so maybe check with Customer Service if you can't find them on the racks.

[asking in the morning, when they werent busy with other customers, probably helped too]

Happy Hunting.

I recommend wandering around the store checking all the gift card areas. I found some in "domestics" (i.e. towels, bathroom accessories). They seem to be in random places. I think they are too big to be at the checkout area gift card displays so look for the hanging pegs on a side or endcap. I've seen these types of displays all throughout the store to be honest. There does not seem to be a rhyme or reason as to where they are placed.

Ya they placed them throughout the store along with other gift cards. The ones near the checkout usually sells out the fastest.

Just to clarify, I found lots of display spots scattered all over both stores, but all that was left was the backing sticker with the helpful hint to look for more options online. Even though the store today (and my closer store, it turns out) had them in stock, they weren't on the rack. But in at least one store, Customer Service kept a boxful under the counter. The helpful manager this morning said that the main box was kept in a big pallet in the store-room, which was too hard to get to for as popular as they are. So they keep some behind the counter as well.

Still no sign of this but I could be wrong and they may have all been bought up by someone already like the poly bags were.

I found 3 this morning. I checked all of the gift card racks that I could find - there were 2 in the holiday section and 1 in the yoga section (for whatever reason). The minimum purchase price for the gift card was $5.00. (if you paid less than that for your card, I would love to know your secret!)

I hadn't seen these in person before - they are really darned cute.

Yeah, I know, but If you try to enter anything less than $25.00 you cannot complete check-out. Or at least, you don't have a "mail" option for less than $25.00 - only email or mobile. It's a little deceptive.

Picked one up at the Appleton WI Fox River Mall Target store. They had a display by greeting cards. The packaging is amazingly nice. I wonder how many of these actually are given as gifts though?

Even though I'm not a big fan of giving cash/gift cards as gifts, I may make an exception in this case for my kids or my nephews who are into LEGO.

I had actually been hoping to be able to load about $2 on each gift card and use them for favors for a small child's holiday party, but at $5 each I have to think about it some more (also on the possibility of actually being able to find enough of them to use, of course). They certainly would make a nice gift, though.

That slot on the back of the cardboard packaging makes it possible to slip the gift card out with a little careful maneuvering. Very nice not having to open it

I found one of these at Target today. Just a single lonely one of them hanging on one of the hooks near the card area. (They have empty hooks for these all over the store.) I had been keeping a vigilant eye out at multiple Target stores, which we go to probably twice a week, generally. Anyway I was super stoked to finally find one. I had no trouble getting them to put $5 on the card. Free Lego for the win!

Oh right, and a few days ago I had asked about these. Although the Target people were pretty clueless about it, they did suggest that sometimes "the desk" / the manager(s) hold the bullseye cards in a special area. So you might have to ask for them. They also suggested that you can try calling and get them to hold some of them for you when the next shipment comes in. I was considering doing that and pretending like they're gifts for nieces/nephews if anyone asked, but I'll probably never get around to that sneakiness. Maybe someone can try and report back?

Sidebar: Out today (Black Friday)... Left at around 9:30am and went to the mall. It was eerie. We found parking up front and the place was surprisingly not that packed. I figured it would be crazy today. I fear for our economy. :( Oh well I got the lego card and a bunch of cheap clothing at Old Navy. Still no actual gift shopping done yet. Too tempting to buy stuff for myself!

I experienced the same thing today. It was like a ghost town. I attributed it to the number of 10 pm and midnight sales. Those people were probably sleeping in.

I agree. I was out at midnight last night, and managed to get through Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Kohls, Belk, and TRU, and back into my bed by 6am. I think that really caused the major rush to be last night, since the major rushes are generally for the coveted Door Buster Mega Deals like BB's 42" Sony. Heck, I ended up snagging an Xbox there... $199 for Xbox, 3 months of Xbox live, Fable 3, and Halo Reach? Sold.

Target was madness, Best Buy was madness.... by the time we got to Walmart (they started at 10pm), there was no herd of masses or giagantic lines. After that it wasn't nearly as bad... only places that were still crazy by the time we were done were the usual suspects: Victoria Secret, Aero, etc.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

I didn't even leave the house. Everything was done through the Internet. Took a day off for no good reason. ;-)

What did you guys get from the stores? Was wondering why anyone would rush the stores when the sales didn't exceed anything that can be found online. Maybe Xbox but not much else.
