nice deal!
Hillside House 5771 looks to be retired which means it had an extremely limited print run. It is a TRU limited edition (or exclusive)Creator House with a sound brick. while the sound brick is sort of underwhelming (doorbell with dog barking sound) Its a nice 3 in 1 set. I've been meaning to pick one up but rarely found it on shelves when it was on sale. The BBQ hotdog sausages are a nice touch. And the sound brick is completely unique.
At 714 pieces, Hillside House 5771 ppb wasn't bad at retail ($69.99. like 9 cents a piece) at 40-45% off the price per brick ratio is great.
If you've been holding out,
I highly suggest picking one up asap since they do appear to be sold out and no longer for sale at Lego shop @ home. 5771 was only out for about 6 months which is the shortest amount of time sets are usually out and its a rare occurrence when sets are out for only 6 months.
Especially the good sets.

I get so hacked off at this outfit so often - I saw the BOGO deal and went online to see if I could get two Imperial Shuttles for myself and my nephew for Christmas. The page for the item clearly states - limit 2 items per customer. When I go to do the BOGO however it will only let me order one. I called customer service and they said it was their mistake - but too bad. Only one per customer. I find myself increasingly more disappointed with TRU than I do happy in my dealings with them.

I just had a strange experience at TRU. I didn't know about these deals, and was surprised to the see the Red Cargo Train at $120 and TRU Truck for $25, so I got one of each. I also had some coupon for a $10 gift card with $75 purchase. When everything rang up, they didn't give me a free LEGO carrying case as advertised, and when I asked, they said they were out of them, and even the warehouse is out of them. I asked for a raincheck and they said they couldn't. A manager just happened to walk by and said I could get a free Ninjago Spinner instead. So they got me one of those, and were then trying to rejigger my receipts to reflect the free Spinner. At some point, I heard a manager make some kind of statement about "oh well, we'll just do it this way..." meaning they couldn't do it properly. A minute later, he gives me the spinner, a bunch of receipts, and $13 back. He and the other person then go help other customers. I have no idea if he got confused or if this was his intention, but I ended up with an additional $13 discount on my purchase, plus the Spinner. Since they were already onto other customers, I just left.
Funny place, that TRU.

In one of my many phone calls with TRU today (due to the website going down), I asked how long this BOGO50 would last. The rep said until the 24th. I'm assumed that was November 24th, but at the rate they've had BOGO50 sales this year, I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts until December 24th. Let's see if that discount code will last as long as well...
For the record, on each of the four calls I had with TRU, the reps were very helpful and knowledgeable. It felt odd, but good.

great that the BOGO is running for a few more days, but all the good stuff I'm looking for (big sets) are now out of stock, particularly the modulars...

I called about this on the medieval market village which states 2 per customer, but only allows you to buy one. They're explanation was that there was only one left in stock, so I could only order one.
