I'm going to LEGOLand again and I visited before in 2004 with all those maybe nostalgiac old sets. Of course now they would have newer LEGO stuff there, and I had worries maybe that it wouldn't be as good.
Today I looked at two old LEGO 2004 Catalogs and looked at a recent 2011 catalog. I noticed some things. Have LEGO sets... Declined?
1. Do you think LEGO goes less 'adventurous' with their sets? Perhaps in terms of their brands?
2. Have LEGO sets overall been simplified in build and brick amount? Maybe even 'kidified'?
3. Have there been less LEGO sets on the market? Like less sets and maybe less themes themselves.
4. Are they less 'cool' now?(See #2)(Or at least with Creator?)
5.(Particular Theme) Have creator sets become less in number, less in brick amount and size, less in alternate builds and less 'cool'? Compare that Blue Robot Set from 2004 with that new Creator red robot set.
Or is this just the nostalgia of mine talking?
What do you guys think?
EDIT:
5. Are there more interesting pieces and sets in 2004?
LEGO 2004 VS 2011
Re: LEGO 2004 VS 2011
Thats a lot of questions if you ask me.
Re: LEGO 2004 VS 2011
This seems more like a questionnaire rather than a question. If you would like to find out the difference between the LEGO products today and the ones in 2004, you can go to your local Toy Store to check them out.
