[USA] TRU B2G1 Free Sep 18-24

I'm happy with my purchase today! Got the Ninja-ta-whatever Dojo for $49 (Wasn't really into this new Ninja theme, but those windows! Will MOC it to be a restaurant for my town.) Also picked up Hagrid's Hut for $44 - always wanted one - this particular one really caught my eye... and for the freebee *drumroll* - the mothership! "But that's $59!" you say... Ah, true true, my friend. However, our local TRU appears to be stocked by angry linemen who use the merchandise for tackling dummies. They have several smushed mothership boxes priced at $39. Wasn't sure I was liking this line either (and for the most part, I'm not) but a free ship circling my city kinda makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. There were 2 more left at the Merriville TRU in Indiana, should anyone be interested - and near.

picked up 27 series 5 minifigs. I bought them in batches of 9 so I could return whatever I didn't need while still taking advantage of the sale. Let's just say that was a good call. picked up too many zoo keeper and lizard man.

Local TRU just failed me. They didn't have any S5 in stock so I had to go to target to buy some...

You might have checked, but 99% of the time they have them hidden at the CS counter. High theft item???

I did not take full advantage of the 33%. I got Hillside House, The Burrows, and Hogwarts (front area, 4867).
It is only a saving of like 27%. It was between what I really wanted, and what would net me the best deal with the things I liked but not on top of my list.

Does anyone get really irritated when you go to toysrus.com and see buy 2 get 3rd free and it has a picture of the Battle of Endor set when the sale excludes Star Wars...

TRU still has them for $109. I also thought that they were discontinued.

Actually it seemed to go out of stock for a while, but I think LEGO did another run and it is now TRU exclusive, which it was not last christmas...

Picked up three $20 sets - Satellite van, SpongeBob carnival and the railroad crossing. The fair was listed at $20 on the shelf and scanned for $25; while the rail crossing was also listed for $20 and scanned at $22, but got them adjusted properly.

October will be my big month with double VIP points. Combined with my 10% Disneyland discount, I'll get 20% off everything all month long. TRU is just too overpriced, even with sales.

Today I went into TRU and got The City Advent Calendar $34.99, City Police Helicopter Persuit (3658) $34.99 and AQ Jet Copter 7067 for $39.99. I had a hard time finding a 3rd $34.99 set. I also got the Ninjago shrine free with the Police Helicopter. So I got $117 of merchandise for $75 or 36% off if you factor in the free Ninjago set ($6.99 MSRP, but marked up at TRU to $9.99). Not a bad day....and a few more CMF S5 for $2.33 after BOGO discount.

I'm not 100% sure, I only saw one Space Police set and those party favor packs. I scanned the SP set and it did ring up another 25% off, I sort of assume it would be good with the B2G1 free, but I didn't actually purchase it to confirm. Over the summer it worked with the B2G1 90% off so I bet it works.

Yes, these discounts stack. Problem is there's hardly anything left on clearance

Yup, definitely stacks. I picked up the weird combo of Thornatus V9, Lavatraz, and Street Extreme for $80. Adds some variety to what I have anyways :) But the other stores in the area would have just 1 clearance item, and nothing really to pair it with. I Did find a Jack Sparrow minifig hidden on a shelf, that scanned for a penny though, hah...

I am so happy! Grabbed 3 Titanium Command Rigs for about $100. Also got 3 Wreck Raider sets (for MOC'ing) for another $15, and used a $5 off Rewards Card. I'm pretty happy. :)
