The online flyer shows 20%-off on select sets shown on the above image but..
Hoth Echo Base is $84 (= 30%-off of the reg. Canadian MSRP $120).

I was planning to get the X-Wing but $68 is still way too expensive. The X-Wing is already expensive at LEGO's MSRP. With the Toys R Us tax, it makes it even worse.

Just ordered my Hoth Echo Base online for $83.97 with some other smaller sets to get to the $100 for free shipping. It works - they usually ship out the same day as well if you order early enough. Might pick up a second one later on if the deal still works but I imagine that it might be sold out rather quickly given that it's about 30% off LEGO MSRP.

I don't think Hoth base is worth it even at that price. Just a really ugly set IMO. Some good minifigs but still cheaper to acquire the new ones separately.

I visited local trus express today for this set. It was rung up at cash register for $96, which is 20% off. Fortunately, store manger did honor the price showing at their flyers, which is 30% off.

IMO, I categorize it as a "play set" for young kids, and they would be having fun to play with it. If TLC brought us a more realistic Hoth Base, it would be pricy (much more bricks involved) and hard to play with.

This set comes with various fundamental elements for Hoth Echo Base, and it is a good start and excuse to build your own Hoth Echo Base MOC by breaking it down. I'll pick up an extra set for MOC if I could find it around 50% off.

I went to my Toys R Us Express store today and there were 2 sale fliers on the Star Wars sets. One showed them as 10% off while another one showed them as 20% off. Anyways, I went to the register and the set rang up at full price. The tech/sales team messed up again - this time for stores.

Cashier told me there was a problem with the sales discount system so she did a manual override and gave it to me for $83.97. Though, I did get a bit annoyed when they charged me an extra $0.05 for a bag.

At Capilano Mall, they have four boxes of Hoth Echo Base left. I also heard that express store at Brentwood Mall has recently re-opened for Christmas Sale, but I am not sure if it carries this set. TRUs at Lansdowne Mall is carrying it, isn't it?

I went to the Lougheed Mall one. There were 2-3 boxes left.

The mall has a promotion going on where if you buy $100 in gift cards, you get a movie ticket. Buy $190 in gift cards and you get 2 movie tickets. Hence, the reason why I went to the Lougheed Mall one.

The X-Wing is still expensive even with the 20% off but it's tempting, only because I want it to sit beside the Millennium Falcon whenever I get around to building it.

Yes it is expensive. I will never forget that purchasing this set was my worst star wars lego shopping experience. About 18 months ago, I had thought this set was going to be discountined and I paid full MSRP for it

They are remaking the X-wing for 2012, so if you havent bought it yet, and you NEED this particular one, buy it soon, otherwise just wait for the redesigned one (which IMO looks slightly better)
