anyone seen large sets at TRU stores?

Has anyone seen the large sets at a TRU B&M store?

like the Imperial Flagship or the GE/FB?
the website says available in stores, but I have never seen them.

I would like to use my 20% off coupon on one, but none of local TRU have any of these sets.
Is it only in really large TRU in big cities?

I've never seen those sets in any TRU myself. However going through Sacramento a couple weeks back, one TRU actually had the tower bridge and the big imperial shuttle. I figured they were prob returns from online sales but I don't really know. I was surprised to see them there though.

I've never seen any of the large premium sets like GE,FB, SW shuttle, DS. The only large set around $150 is the cargo train set. I don't know about the one in Time square Manhattan. Maybe Vysane can add to this.

I saw a GE once, I'm guessing it was a return. I have not seen other large sets in-store. This store is near Boston, but not in the city.

The TRU in Times Square often has large sets. For instance, during the past year and a half or so, I've seen Grand Emporium, Death Star, Grand Carousel, Emerald Night and Tower Bridge there. Grand Carousel was only one battered up box though.

There's a brand new TRU (less than a year old) near me, like a full sized TRU and BabiesRUs and a video game section. I've never seen any large exclusive sets there or at the other couple of TRUs nearby. I totally would have noticed if they did. And this is a pretty urban area.

If they have it at the Times Square store, maybe they just carry them at the really fancy flagship stores.

They shouldn't list "sold in stores" if it is only a handful.

I once saw a couple of the Shuttle Expedition sets at a TRU but they were gone a few days later. Not sure if they were returns or what. Never seen anything else though.

Anyway, echoing what's already been said, at my local TRUs, I've never seen anything bigger than the $150+/- price range either (except the Mindstorms NXT).

After reading your post, I realized my TRU is the same. Huge TRU and BRU under one roof, and it just re-opened last year. Still Nada. Interesting. I'm guessing TRU doesn't have enough stock (or doesn't want to purchase enough) to go around to many B&M stores and would rather just offer it on-line.

My local TRU had two GEs this past week. It found it interesting to note that they were both in good condition. The only other large sets I have seen have been in battered boxes.

I've seen only a few larger Lego sets at TRUs B/M

Mainly its been Technic #8043 and Creator 10197 and if you consider SW sets like the new Falcon or Republic Frigate than yes but that's about it for any TRUs B/M around my parts...

I visit the TRU stores in Angrignon (Montreal QC), Burlington, VT., and New Hampshire and have seen a number of sets $150+. I must say though, the Burlington, VT TRU doesn't have much of a selection. I try not to go there much anymore since they have no City Set that I don't have.

Yes...TRUs express at Capilano mall in North Vancouver. I suggest you to call them before your visit.
