More seriously, I think it's 30p for The Sun and £1 for the NOTW -- approx. USD$4.65 for a complete set, plus the cost of getting to a WHSmiths or TRU to pickup each set (or the cost of S&H/P&P if they offer mail in redemption).

A very cheap way to pick up LEGO if you're in England.

Less so, if you're not.

Will these sets ever be released in the US?

At least three of them already have been (X-Wing, Skeleton Chopper and Dragon Fight).

As for the other four, I think the PotC sets might be a lost cause for the immediate future where the movie is out in just a few weeks, but the other two...?

Has there been precedent for other UK promos not making it to the US?

I don't recall 30041 Atlantis Piranha being available in the US, nor many of the sets from the last Daily Mirror's promo, although I really don't have that much interest in those themes to have gone looking for them.

Per Brickset, it appears the promo has been extended through Sunday, with the two additional sets being 30054 - AT-ST (SW) and 30090 - Aeroplane (PQ).
