Man, what a crappy mom. At 75% off, what could it have cost, a dollar? I'm glad you got one, but really... I feel sorry for that little girl... and her mom, who has obviously lost all joy in her life.

That reminds me of something I saw in the mall last night, A little boy (6 or 7? I dont know how old) was looking at toys, and when he asked his mom for something, his mom said he was growing too old for toys.. :? Poor kid.

Disgusting. I didn't lose interest in LEGO until I was definitely 13 or 14 or so, and that's only because I got heavily involved in school activities and other hobbies at that point.

Playing with LEGO when I can. Where does the time go?

Exactly. I lost interest in Lego for a time cuz of school, girls, etc. When I had time for long term hobbies again (see getting Married), Lego is back stronger than ever. If you can't keep yourself having fun like a kid, you're gonna grow old and boring quick....

Hell, I think I would have just bought the set for the little girl, or given the mom $2 and said don't be such a wanker.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

I was at a Target I had been to earlier in the week. The Easter stuff was 90% off so we were going to get a couple more bags of the Starburst jelly beans and some other little things. Since I had already searched through all the Easter stuff I wasn't expecting to find any Lego but I had to look. I half jokingly got on my hands and knees and looked under the bottom shelf thought a 3/4 opening and found a City, a Ningago and a Star Wars poly bag along with an Imaginext Batman and a Joker. All of them scanned 90% off (i think they were all $.39, the City bag may have been $.34).

I figure I must have found someone's stash, too much good stuff to be coincidence. Sorry if it was yours but it sure made my day.

Yeah, I would just give the girl $2... Although it's quite possible that her Mom would try to get me arrested, alleging I'm a pedophile or something :x

I got lucky... found one small Fire Car someone had put near the register impulse sets. Only $.34! I already have one, and I gave this to my 8-year-old brother. It made his day.
