Shoot, Couldn't they have put rarer figures in? Other than yoda and the black droid, the rest are pretty common. Oh well. The weapon racks are kinda cool.

Re: [WORLD] Star Wars Advent Calendar picture
Hmm, mini vehicles and common figures (minus Santa Yoda and black R2 unit) plus the "Star Wars Tax" will make this a pass for me I'm afraid, unless they actually end up on sale after Christmas (yeah, like that will happen). The Santa Yoda and some of the mini vehicles are cool, but I can probably cobble together the vehicles from my own pieces.

Re: [WORLD] Star Wars Advent Calendar picture
from what I hear, Advent calenders usually get sold out before they get put on sale. I would make sense to me to put them on sale after Christmas or mid-decemberMrDisco wrote:when do these typically go on sale?
Re: [WORLD] Star Wars Advent Calendar picture
Pretty cool but not exciting. I would not buy it for myself (unless it went on sale after Christmas) but wouldn't mind getting it as a gift.

What is that garbage can next to Chewie suppose to be?

Re: [WORLD] Star Wars Advent Calendar picture
It looks like its got tools in it (wrench, etc) so its probably a tool box. Fail. I guess they all can't be awesome, but would it have killed them to throw in another ship or minifigure instead of that?

I certainly pass this set. Disappoint with the selection of minifigures. It is nice that I could save my money for CMF and other lego sets.

People waited over 10 years and this is the mess LEGO gives up? If there aren't going to be "rare" minifigures than there can be more than just 6 and a few driods. The micro sets are a mix, some look decent, but some (like the TIE) are horrible. That TIE is supposed to be one day? I'll be saving my $40.

Re: [WORLD] Star Wars Advent Calendar picture
This is disappointing. They couldn't even make the scale of these micros consistent. (TIE Fighter vs X-Wing fail)
I really want mini Y-Wings, B-Wings, A-Wings that are consistent with 30051 X-Wing. 8082 TIE Fighter was decent, but we need more TIEs.

Re: [WORLD] Star Wars Advent Calendar picture
I saw the set and I still like it a lot. I imagine if nothing else if it's not popular for the logical reasons and no one buys it, it will become one of those Star Wars once in a lifetime releases that most people will consider a bust, but will be somehow super rare.
Re: [WORLD] Star Wars Advent Calendar picture
This is a little disappointing to me, I dont know what I was expecting based off the prelim pic though.
I am not a fan of miniships.
IMO
Pro
+Rebel pilot with what looks like a blank helmet, nice to change it up from Zev's helmet though.
+Clone pilot
+Black R-unit
+Who can't help but smile at a mouse droid?
+Santa torso, and Red short legs.
Con
-Another Chewie, and another miniset taken up to give him his crossbow
-Another yoda head have a few already, and its also in the upcoming Republic Cruiser.
-Tie Pilot, I know what your thinking, who wouldent love a tie pilot. I WOULD but the one I recieved in the Tie defender set had the printing like 5mm to the left on the side of its head... Then the replacement I recieved from lego, still had the printing off place but much less so. So if this is fixed in this set I will be happy.

oh sorry I didn't mean "sale" as in discount. I meant when will this set be available to purchase?lukeskywalker wrote:from what I hear, Advent calenders usually get sold out before they get put on sale. Re: [WORLD] Star Wars Advent Calendar picture
I'm sure if a kid received this as a gift it would still be nice. However comparable calendars were more filled in or novel. Perhaps the mark II will fulfill the desires of other collectors. I am passing on this one.

Re: [WORLD] Star Wars Advent Calendar picture
I've never bought one of these "calendar" sets so I'll probably be getting it. I'm no lego connoisseur but the tool/weapon holders and xmas tree are kinda lame(for the price they'll charge). Is there any chance that this is not the final picture and there could be 3 new additions based on all the negative response?

It's possible but HIGHLY unlikely.jikura wrote:I've never bought one of these "calendar" sets so I'll probably be getting it.
