Idea: Deal Calendar

First of all, this is a pie-in-the-sky idea. This may not be feasible; I'm just throwing it out there.

At any given time, there are multiple sales going on. If you even take a look at just TRU, they have overlapping sales, advertised and unadvertised sales. And the sales usually have a certain timeframe, usually just a week or so, and sometimes just 2 days over the weekend.

My idea is to display all the deals on a calendar. (They would have to be separated geographically, probably one for US, one for CAN, one for AUS... might get out of hand actually.) So then a user could look up what deals are active on a particular day, and see that there are a couple deals at TRU, an active coupon at Borders, etc. For things that don't have a definite timeframe, there could be some other visual cue on the day the information came to light. For example, and update on Amazon prices - it would be annoying to try and maintain that somehow.

Maybe there is some cool built in BB tools set up for calendar stuff like this?

Holy crap. This idea is so obvious yet somehow not implemented yet. I second this idea. Also there are about a million calendars out there that I'm sure we could just stick in somewhere on the website.

There's most likely a calendar module/plug-in for Wordpress that could be installed on the 'site proper'.
