This info could be EXTREMELY valueable considering all the mentioned 'discontinued' sets are still available at S@H so this could be a great indicator of when things will be discontinued before actually being gone for good.
I've had my eye on the Medival Market for a while and this pushed me over the edge. I hate paying the MSRP but feel glad to in this case (bought one on S@H today). I can always tell myself/wife it's a business decision, since I can turn around and sell it for more in a year or so. Like any set has a chance of lasting that long in my house ;)
LOL, nice work, I use the same line of reasoning with my wife. =) Hence my little signature... thats how I sell my wife on UPS and Fedex delivering plethoras of packages to my house =) The trick is to sell the wife and get her on-board... find her a theme she will love =)

I HATE paying full MSRP as well, there is almost no reason to do it! Except when you run the risk of losing the chance to buy it even at MSRP :P That is why Medieval Market from S@H and Emerald Night (site to store for free ship) arrived this week... rather pay MSRP than 2x MSRP later this year :P
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Funny how everyone scrambled for these "discontinued" sets, but Amazon seems to restock them periodically. I've seen the Medieval Market show up countless times even after the 10% reduction that made it sell out the first tiome around. The Death Star is back in stock on Amazon by the way. These trends are being manipulated, obviously.

I wish that were true, but I don't see it. I checked Target, Ebay, Walmart and Amazon and all were out. No regrets!

I guess somewhat off-topic but I hope I get a chance to visit a Lego store in the US later this year so that I can pick up some of the big sets, including some that may be getting discontinued by the end of the year like the Medieval Market Village(can't be just a regular store in the US since they don't carry the bigger and "exclusive" sets). For a Canadian, even getting one of those sets at the American MSRP feels like a "deal" for the prices we get here in Canada :x .

Ya its like $5 a gallon ($1.3/litre) for gas. :( When you go to the States, it works out to be 50% off which is a very good deal.

They have 6 left in stock. It should say 5 though, I just ordered one! Those went quick. It should be noted that the LEGO Shop online has at least 99 in stock.

Thanks!

Actually - 2 minutes later, they are sold out. But just like the Death Star, they could be getting a ton more in stock soon. Time will tell!

595 Death Stars now in stock at Amazon. I'm guessing that these should last for awhile longer.

Can't be long before the PoP sets get officially discontinued, can it? There are plenty in stock in my area, but none seem to be selling. Could be a clearance price bonanza soon! I hear the pieces from these are good for MOC's.

Still in stock, but not at MSRP. I'm sure this cycle occurs a few times before it's done. I would tell anyone that this is an awesome set and don't play around if it gets stocked again. Of course, live within your means - always.

Here is the current stock at Amazon:

682 Death Stars
246 Medieval Market Villages
49 Emerald Nights

It seems they keep adding stock of the Death Star and MMV. Emerald Night has been whittling down their numbers all week, but very slowly.

Funny thing is that I had thought LEGO already discontinued PoP. They had slashed the prices sooooo much in December and January. Hard to believe they still have stock. Agreed though - I bought a bunch of those sets just for the pieces.

LOL I thought the SAME thing Brick...

With EVERY PoP set on sale during Christmas around 20-30% off, followed by a VERY quick shift to clearance, (and the lack of popularity), I totally expected a fork to be sunk into PoP. Heck, I nabbed a Battle of Alamut for like $30 during Walmart's Clearance of them back in January.

Oh well, more Battle of Alamuts on the cheap to be purchased in the future to contribute to the Moc collection.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.
