Background
So I bought this set after just getting back into lego from S@H for a decent clearance price, and then after Christmas, saw them for $5. Of course I had to grab it for such a low price. At least it comes with 2 Minifigs.

Small box, with small packaging. I don't like these boxes as I try to keep them in as pristine condition as possible, and it's hard to get these open at times.

You get a good buy and a bad guy in this set. You usual lime green aqua suit, and a nice shark bad guy with your typical trident. It also comes with a unique ring piece. You don't really use it in this set, but can for others.

The instruction manual for this set is pretty small. Your usual staple in the side and thats about it.

This theme is sticker happy, so of course there is some for this set. Fortunately they keep them to a minimum and it actually brings out the details better.

Here is the base of the Vehicle. Not entirely too much special.

As you see, you have to put a lot of stickers on here which can be a bit of a pain. The jet-thing is coming together finally.

And finally the super-sized jet is complete. Of course no seats. You get a nice missle with a hook.. well 2 of them! Nice detail.

Building:
This is a very easy set to build. Not much special about it. They don't use any special tricks, but it is kind of unique.

Appearance:
This is a decent set, but nothing that really grabs your attention. It is an over-sized jet. Other than that, it's basically average as it's score indicates.

Pieces:
Again, there are not very many special pieces in this set, only decent pieces. There is the uncommon disc, and a few curved pieces you can use for mocs, but overall you aren't buying this set for it's pieces.

Value:
This set has a pretty high PPP and I never like that. Of course I always say buy on a discount, but even at 50% off, the lack of great pieces, or great looks are problems. I need some kind of reason to buy this set if I'm not a collector.

Playability:
I probably gave this set too high of a score in this category, but since you get both a good guy and a baddie, I had to give them 'better than average'. You can play with this set on it's own, but I think it's better with other Atlantis sets.

Overall:
I'm glad this wasn't my first Atlantis set, otherwise I might have gone with my first instinct and not liked this theme. I don't recommend it be your first either. It's a decent add-on. I'd rate this set as average (this theme has much better sets)...unless you get it on a deep discount, I would probably give it a pass. If you like the Atlantis set, pick it up for variety, but if your not in love, don't bother.
