Store Display Lighting Options?

Picked up a recent Target display case of two Ninjago sets at an auction for $95. My son was really excited to see it and liked keeping it in the display case to view in his room. However, there seems to only be two options with the lighting: (1) motion activated that nicely lights up a dark room and stays on for 5 seconds or (2) push button to have a few lights blink for 5 seconds. Anyone know if there's an option to keep the lights on? It lights up his room so nice, it would be great to use as a nightlight until he fell asleep. Is there a simple trick to make this happen that I just can't see? I'd like to be able to use the switch in the back as a simple on/off switch and bypass the motion sensor. Can this be modified to work this way? TIA.
